A new pilot in our thermals: Congratulations to Tom on earning his pilot’s license conversion!
Tom joined our club with contagious enthusiasm and a clear goal: to trade the English plains for the hills of the Jura… and maybe even the Alps, if the wind and his courage are on his side.
To do so, he had to convert his British license to an EASA license—a necessary step that he completed with flying colors, without even asking for a break for a cup of tea.
Thanks to this achievement, Tom can now explore our local thermals, discover that Swiss cows make excellent visual landmarks, and see for himself that the Jura’s thermals are every bit as good as those of Perfidious Albion.
Rumor even has it that he’s already mentally preparing for his first high-altitude flight in the Alps… but one step at a time: the Jura will already offer him plenty to enjoy.
